Spring of Life employs individuals who have a combination of experience supporting individuals with diagnosis ranging from severe autism, mental health, developmental and/or intensive medical and behavioral challenges. Spring of Life supports the inclusion of individuals and interdisciplinary teams in ensuring optimal wellness in all aspects of health and daily living.
Our philosophy is persons with developmental disabilities are full citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and as such, deserve to be fully integrated into the community. We do understand that individual strengths and challenges must be assessed, and a supportive network provided in order for each individual to be actively involved in home and community life to the fullest degree possible.
Diversity is honored and celebrated, with the realization that each person is unique, and that “normal” is a subjective word.
LIFELONG LEARNING is respected and fostered in our staff and in the people, we support,as we build knowledge and relationships based on reciprocal teaching and learning; CREATIVITY is encouraged in thinking and in taking chances and risks—sometimes “failing fast”—to achieve positive outcomes cases “use” is a better choice than “utilize.”
Advocacy is utilized to empower the persons we support to achieve their desires.
A Sense of Family & Belonging permeates the relationships among the staff of Spring of Life Healthcare and with and among the persons we support.
Meaningful Community Participation is realized, as all persons receive individualized supports to become valued members of their community.
Spring of Life Healthcare will ensure that our individuals live in a safe home-like environment that is non-hierarchical and non-authoritarian.
